Our target
This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We treat an accessibility problem as a bug, not a feature request.
What we have done
- Every function works from a keyboard, including the menu, accordions, the Source Map and forms.
- Visible focus states on all interactive elements, and a skip link to the main content.
- Text contrast of at least 4.5:1, and at least 3:1 for large display type.
- Animations respect your reduced-motion setting and every animated visual has a static version.
- Data visuals never rely on color alone and have a text or table alternative.
- Touch targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels on mobile, and no important text inside images.
- Form fields have visible labels, and errors are described in text next to the field.
Known limitations
- Connector lines in the Source Map diagram are decorative; the same relationships are available in its table view.
- Some data tables scroll horizontally on small screens.
- An external scheduling tool, if we link to one, has its own accessibility conformance.
